    Regulations for the 1/8 Distance

  1. 1. Objective

    • Promotion of the Municipality of Sieraków
    • Popularization of triathlon
    • Promotion of sports among children and youth
  2. 2. Organizers and co-organizers

  3. 3. Date, Distance, and Route

    • The event will take place on May 31, 2025 (Saturday), with a rolling start at 9:00 a.m.
    • The starting point is located on the beach at Lake Jaroszewskie – start from the shore.
    • The finish line is located on the track of the TKKF athletics stadium in Sieraków.
      I stage of the race:
    • Swimming 475 m (Lake Jaroszewskie, 1 loop)
    • Expected water temperature: 16°C.
    • Maximum time to complete swimming – 30 minutes.
      II stage of the race:
    • Cycling 22.5 km (1 loop x 22.5 km, route: Ośrodek TKKF, ul. Poznańska, Sieraków, Góra, Kurnatowice, Kwilcz, and Grobia), moderately undulating course
    • HELMET REQUIRED. The entire route is closed to traffic.
    • No drafting race – riding a bike less than 10m behind another competitor is prohibited!
    • All types of bikes are allowed.
    • Maximum time to complete swimming and cycling – 1.5 hours.
      III stage of the race:
    • Running 5.275 km (1 loop)
    • Surface: forest paths and tartan.
    • Course measured by GPS.
    • Maximum time to complete the race – 2.5 hours.

      1. The fee includes:
    • Time measurement chip
    • Professional time measurement for each discipline, including transitions
    • Waterproof start number for attaching to a belt/strap
    • Stickers with the start number for the bike, helmet, and a commemorative sticker
    • Bottle with the event logo
    • Commemorative medal at the finish line
    • Professional medical coverage
    • Water stage secured by lifeguards equipped with floating gear
    • Supervision of the competition by licensed PZTri judges
    2. After registration, payment can be made directly after registering or by logging into the registration panel using the login and password provided during registration via the electronic payment system tpay.com. The entire payment process is arranged with the payment operator, and the agreement is concluded with the entity indicated by the operator.
    3. A cycling jersey with the event logo will be provided to participants (defined as those who begin the event from the swimming stage). The gift is available only to the first 1,000 participants who register and pay for their package no later than November 30, 2024. If the quota of 1,000 participants is reached before November 30, 2024, those above this limit will not receive the gift. Participants who register by November 30 but fail to pay their fee will also not receive the gift.
    Gadgets are only provided to participants who start the event. Non-starters are not eligible to receive the gift, and it cannot be collected by third parties or sent during or after the event office’s working hours.
  5. 4. Refund of the Participant's Package Fee in Case of Resignation:

    • No refunds will be given if the participant has not purchased cancellation insurance, nor can the payment be transferred to the next year.
    • It is possible to pay a resignation insurance fee amounting to 20% of the package price. This fee can only be paid at the time of registration for the event.
    • Resignation notifications should be sent to kontakt@tritour.com.pl by the non-negotiable deadline: at least 30 days before the start date and no later than May 1, 2025. Resignation notifications sent later will not be accepted.
    • After registration, a full refund of the participant's package fee, minus the cancellation insurance, will be made to the account from which the payment was made within 60 days of the resignation notification. However, every effort is made to process the refund earlier
    • There is no possibility to transfer the payment to the following year.
    • It is not possible for another person, apart from the registered participant listed on the start list, to collect the full or partial starter package.
    • Unclaimed starter packages during the working hours of the event office will be forfeited.
    • It is possible to transfer the entry fee to another participant after paying a handling fee of 20 PLN and the difference in entry fees to match the current rate (on the date of the data change).
    • Unclaimed starter packages will not be sent either during or after the event; they will be forfeited.
  6. 5. Classifications

    • Age categories K/M: 14-17; 18-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+.
  7. 6. Awards

    • Age categories for women and men: Age categories for women and men: 14-17; 18-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+ with trophies awarded for places 1-3.
    • Every finisher will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.
    • Awards can only be collected during the closing award ceremony of the event.
  8. 7. Participation Conditions

    • The right to participate in the competition is granted to individuals who are at least 18 years old on May 31, 2025, and present an identity document during verification, pay the entry fee, and sign a statement of voluntary participation. Additionally, individuals born between 2007 and 2010 may participate, provided they appear at the event office with a parent or legal guardian, who will sign a declaration of consent and responsibility for their participation and pay the entry fee.
    • Participants registering for the event via the online registration form confirm their knowledge of the rules, accept them, and consent to the unlimited territorial and temporal publication of their image, as captured in photos or videos from the event, as well as their name and surname, in promotional and advertising materials of the organizer as part of the promotion of JBL Triathlon Sieraków.
    • Each participant must hold a valid Polish Triathlon Association license – either single-use or annual.
    • Participants are allowed to compete simultaneously in both a relay and individual events. The condition is the payment of fees for participation in both competitions.
      Prohibited substances, doping:
    • The use of doping is prohibited.
    • Participants found to have used doping will be held accountable under the rules and procedures specified in the anti-doping regulations established by the Polish Anti-Doping Agency.
    • Each participant is required to undergo anti-doping testing during and outside the competition, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of April 21, 2017, on combating doping in sport (Journal of Laws of May 31, 2017).
  9. Registrations, starting list

    • After registration, payment for the participant's package can be made directly after registration or by logging into the registration panel using the login and password provided during registration through the electronic payment system. tpay.com.
    • After completing the registration form and paying the entry fee, the participant will be added to the starting list.
    • The registration date is determined by the date of the entry fee payment, understood as the date the payment is credited to the organizer's account.
    • A limit of 500 participants applies.
    • Registrations are accepted until April 30, 2025, unless the maximum number of participants on the starting list is reached earlier.

    2. The legal basis for processing participants' personal data is Article 23, Section 1, Point 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act (UODO) and Article 6, Section 1, Letter b of the GDPR – contract execution (acceptance of the regulations and registration for the event constitutes the conclusion of a contract).
    3. Personal data of the participants will be processed for the purpose of contract execution, i.e., for organizing, preparing, conducting, and promoting the event.
    4. Processing also includes communication with participants via email or SMS to the addresses or numbers provided during registration.
    5. Data processing also includes the publication of the participant's image, name, surname, and results achieved during the event.
    6. Providing the personal data mentioned in sections 3 and 4 and consenting to its processing is voluntary but necessary for participation in the event.
    7. Participants' Rights Include:

      6. Filing a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office
    8. Participants may exercise their rights from section 7 by submitting a written notice specifying breaches and requests to the administrator’s correspondence address or via email. dane@tritour.com.pl
    9. The administrator does not transfer data to third countries or international organizations.
    10. The administrator will not share data with third parties unless necessary for proper contract execution or based on the participant's consent or applicable legal provisions.
    11. The administrator declares the use of solutions to safeguard personal data against loss, destruction, and unauthorized modification.
    1. 11. Final Remarks

      1. The organizer reserves the right to shorten, change the route, reschedule the start time, interrupt, or cancel the event due to force majeure. Force majeure includes any external, unforeseen event beyond control, such as severe weather conditions, natural disasters, states of emergency, epidemics, pandemics, wars, acts of terror, strikes, or water levels in reservoirs preventing swimming. It also includes new legal acts or administrative decisions that prevent the organizer from holding the event. In such cases, participants are not entitled to a refund of entry fees or other costs incurred in relation to the event.
      2. The organizer reserves the right to refuse registration without providing a reason.
      3. Participants who fail to comply with these regulations may face disqualification.
      4. The use of communication devices such as mobile phones, walkie-talkies, radios, or music players is prohibited.
      5. All participants are required to maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters between cyclists.
      6. In case of a bike malfunction during the race, participants must move with their bike to the roadside in a manner that does not disrupt the race.
      7. Participation in the Pasta Party is free for competitors. Access to the technical briefing and the Pasta Party is permitted upon presenting the wristband received at the registration desk during verification.
      8. The organizer has liability insurance (OC) for the event. Participants are encouraged to secure their own personal accident insurance (NNW).
      9. During the event, the organizer provides medical assistance. Decisions made by medical personnel regarding whether to continue or withdraw from the event are final, and participants are required to comply.
      10. The event will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Polish Triathlon Association and these regulations.
